Terms of service

Last updated: 2 May 2026

These Terms govern your use of summri, an AI-generated meeting minutes service operated by Saasyn (“Saasyn”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Data Processing Agreement (which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and governs how summri processes personal data on your organisation's behalf).

1. The service

summri ingests meeting transcripts (uploaded directly or fetched from Microsoft Teams on your authorisation) and uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate structured minutes, action items and decisions. We provide the service as-is and do not guarantee that AI-generated output is error-free — review minutes before relying on or circulating them.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at hello@saasyn.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

One person, one free trial. Creating multiple accounts to extend the trial period is a breach of these Terms.

3. Plans, pricing and billing

Trial

All paid plans start with a 14-day free trial that requires a payment method up front. No charge is taken during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed.

After the trial

Your card is automatically charged at the start of the first billing period after the trial ends. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period until cancelled.

Prices and VAT

Prices shown in the app are exclusive of VAT. UK VAT (currently 20%) is added at checkout for UK customers; other jurisdictions are charged where required by Stripe's tax determination. We may change prices at any time; changes apply at the start of your next billing period and we'll email you at least 14 days beforehand.

Plan changes

You can change plan at any time from Billing → Change plan. Stripe applies prorated billing automatically — you're charged or credited for the difference on your next invoice.

Cancellation

You can cancel from Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial periods unless required by law (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations: see Section 4).

Annual prepay

Where annual billing is offered, paying yearly upfront gives you approximately 2 months free vs monthly billing. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the unused portion if cancelled mid-period, except as required by law.

4. Right to cancel (UK consumers only)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers (not businesses) in the UK have a 14-day right to cancel starting from the day a paid subscription begins. This right does not override the free trial — if you cancel during the trial, no payment was taken and there is nothing to refund. If you cancel within 14 days of the trial converting to paid, we refund the unused portion.

Business customers (signing up on behalf of a company) and Enterprise customers waive this right by accepting these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You may not, and may not permit anyone using your account to:

  • Upload content you do not have the legal right to process.
  • Upload content covered by special-category protections (e.g. health records, criminal-conviction data) without an additional written agreement with us.
  • Use summri to record or transcribe meetings without obtaining the consent required by applicable law in the meeting's jurisdiction (e.g. UK GDPR, US two-party-consent states).
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or internal models.
  • Use the service for unlawful surveillance, harassment, or to violate any person's rights.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas or security controls.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules. We will tell you why unless we're prevented from doing so by law or court order.

6. Meeting consent (your responsibility)

You are responsible for obtaining the legal consent of meeting participants before recording or transcribing. Microsoft Teams provides on-screen recording notifications; consent practices vary by jurisdiction. summri does not record meetings — it only processes transcripts that already exist. Whether a transcript was lawfully obtained is on you, not us.

7. Your content; our use of it

You retain all rights to the transcripts, minutes and action items in your account. You grant Saasyn a limited licence to process this content solely to provide the service to you (e.g. send transcripts to Anthropic for AI generation, store them encrypted in the database, display them in the app).

We do not use your content to train AI models or improve our service. Anthropic does not train on API content by default. See our Privacy Policy for the full processing detail.

8. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but make no contractual SLA on Individual or Professional plans. Enterprise customers may negotiate a written SLA.

We may perform planned maintenance with at least 24 hours' notice (posted in-app or emailed). Emergency maintenance may happen without notice.

9. AI output; accuracy disclaimer

AI-generated minutes, action items and decisions are produced automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or fabricated details (“hallucinations”). They are provided as drafts to assist your review, not as authoritative records. Always verify before sharing externally or relying on them in any decision of consequence. We do not warrant fitness for purpose, accuracy, or completeness.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. We email a confirmation link; clicking it permanently removes your data within 24 hours (database backups roll off within 30 days).

We may terminate your account for material breach of these Terms (including non-payment for 30+ days). On termination by either party, your right to access the service ends. We will not retain your data beyond the retention windows in the Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully limited.

Subject to that: our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms or the service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) £100, or (b) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Saasyn against any claim brought by a third party arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) content you upload, or (c) your failure to obtain required consents under Section 6.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For non-material changes, the updated version takes effect when posted. For material changes (e.g. expanded liability for you, reduced rights), we'll email account admins at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumer customers may bring claims in their local courts where required by mandatory law.
